Brenda R. (Lincoln) Meyer

Brenda R. Meyer, 56, of Strawberry Point, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016, at her home.  She was born on February 1, 1960, in Manchester, the daughter of Gerald "Abe" and Maxine (Wilson) Lincoln.  Brenda graduated from Starmont High School with the class of 1978.  After graduation she worked in Cedar Rapids for several years.

On September 6, 1980, Brenda was united in marriage to Robert Meyer in Strawberry Point.  Two children were born to this union.  Brenda worked for Linzy Martin, attorney, in Strawberry Point, Swift Law Firm in Manchester, as a dispatcher for the Strawberry Point Light Plant, and currently worked as a Trust Officer at Citizens State Bank in Strawberry Point. 

Brenda enjoyed cooking and baking and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and NASCAR fan.  She loved watching hummingbirds.  Brenda was very kind and thoughtful, and cherished spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of  35 years, Robert Meyer of Strawberry Point; her daughter, Ashley Meyer of Boscobel, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Bryant Meyer-Kemp, Alexis Nading, and Claire Nading; her parents, Gerald "Abe" and Maxine Lincoln of Strawberry Point; nine siblings, Lorna Lincoln of Cedar Rapids, Rich (Deb) Lincoln of Lamont; David (Margaret) Lincoln of Dundee, Betty (George) Enriquez and Joe (Marla) Lincoln all of Madison, Wisconsin, Chris Lincoln, Dan (Kristi) Lincoln , Paul (special friend, Annika Winters) Lincoln all of Strawberry Point, and Todd Lincoln of Manchester; eight brothers-and sisters-in-law, Joan (Gerald) Streight of Dubuque, Kay (Ronald) Burr of Marshalltown, Bill (special friend, Diana) Meyer of Elkader, Larry (Connie) Meyer and George (Ellen) Meyer all of Strawberry Point, Patricia (Paul) Chopard and Julie (fiance, Ray) Grundmeyer all of Edgewood, and Rick (Sue) Meyer of Strawberry Point; and many nieces and nephews.

Brenda was preceded in death by her son, Nicholas Meyer; her parents-in-law, Delbert and Mildred Meyer;  two brothers-in-law, Thomas Meyer and Dale Grundmeyer; two nephews, Nathan Chopard and Daniel Meyer; and a niece, Jenny Grundmeyer.
