Gary Arthur Mormann

Gary Arthur “Scurf” Mormann, 63, of Colesburg, Iowa, died on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Regional Medical Center, Manchester. He was born on November 24, 1953, in Manchester, the son of Arthur A. and Abbie I. (Lammers) Mormann.

Gary graduated from Ed-Co High School in 1972. He drove truck, worked at Bennett Explosives in Manchester, and was employed at John Deere for a short time. Most recently, he worked for Tibbott Construction.

In August 1988, Gary was united in marriage to Deb Parker in Guttenberg. Three children were born to this union. The couple later divorced.

Gary enjoyed horses, hunting, fishing, and driving UTVs.

Survivors include his three children, Logan Mormann of Ames, Landon Mormann of Colesburg, and Lexia Mormann of Guttenberg; his mother, Abbie Mormann of Colesburg; a special friend, Deb Gentz of Colesburg; three brothers, Lawrence (Joyce) Mormann of Worthington, Wayne (Mary) Mormann and Dan (Sandy) Mormann, both of Colesburg, and one sister, Shirley (Darrell) Lindauer of New Vienna. 

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Arthur, in 1995.
