Jean Elizabeth Kruger

Jean Elizabeth Kruger, 71, of Edgewood, Iowa, died on Monday, January 25, 2016, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home. She was born on May 25, 1944, in Greeley, the daughter of Calvin C. and Etna A. (Fierstine) Kruger. Jean was raised and educated in the Edgewood area.

Jean was disabled and resided at the Penn Center for several years and the past 11 years at the Edgewood Convalescent Home.

Jean loved music, visits from her family and friends, and poetry.

Left to cherish her memory are her seven siblings, Joyce (Jan Esch) O’Donnell of Strawberry Point, Judy Anton of Coggon, Clair (Maxine) Kruger of Littleport, Connie (Tom) Allyn and Fritz (Rev. Mary Green) Kruger, all of Manchester, Craig (Wendy) Kruger of Mt. Vernon, and Frank Kruger-Robbins of Boca Raton, Florida; a long time pen pal, Thelma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Janice in infancy; and two brothers-in-law, Dr. F.C. O’Donnell and Eugene Anton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the Edgewood Convalescent Home.
