Margaret Jean "Peggy" (Godfrey) Pederson

Margaret Jean “Peggy” Pederson, 81, of Manchester, Iowa, died on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester.  She was born on July 3, 1935, in Lamoni, the daughter of Ether and Cleo (Ramsey) Godfrey.  Peggy and her family moved to Washington state as a youngster and later settled in Cedar Falls, where she attended and graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1953.

On May 27, 1953, she was united in marriage to Lindberg Pederson.  Together they farmed near Center Point.  They sold the farm and lived in Ryan until 1976, when the tornado took their home and they moved into Manchester.

Survivors include her two children, Alan Pederson and Rhonda (Todd) Sachs; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Mae Marie (John) Crocker; and friend, Theresa (Frank) Heims.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lindberg Pederson in 2001; and a daughter, Nancy Pederson.

Peggy has been cremated.  A private family service will be held.
