Michael Reynold Neuhaus

Michael Reynold Neuhaus, 60, of Manchester, Iowa, died at Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, October 18, 2016.  He was born on April 15, 1956, in Manchester, the son of Lyle and Marie (Langel) Neuhaus.  Mike was raised and educated in the area, and was a 1974 West Delaware High School graduate.

Mike was employed by Exide in Manchester most of his life.  He also farmed and did carpenter work.

On September 6, 1997, Mike was united in marriage to Judy A. Menke at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.  Together they made their home northwest of Manchester. 

Mike enjoyed family, being with the grandchildren and attending their activities.  He was an avid Hawkeye, Yankee and West Delaware fan.  Mike enjoyed the outdoors, working with livestock and farm work.  He was always ready to play a practical joke on anyone.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Neuhaus of Manchester; four children, Amy (Jeff) DeMoss of St. Charles, Illinois, Phil (Olivia) Neuhaus,  and Matt Neuhaus of Manchester and Nathan (Sara) Neuhaus, of Marion; eight grandchildren, Parker, Riley, Brant and Macey DeMoss, and Jack, Ava, Owen and Finley Neuhaus; and three siblings, Scott (Coni) Neuhaus of Dundee, Kathy (Steve) Marshall of Manchester, and Mary Jo (Chris) Demmer of Dundee.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jean Neuhaus; a brother, Billy Neuhaus; and a grandson, Carter DeMoss.
