Mildred "Millie" Frances (Streif) Fuller

Mildred Frances “Millie” Fuller, 83, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of the Ryan, Iowa, area, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at the Northbrook Manor Care Center in Cedar Rapids.  She was born on August 2, 1934, in Dubuque, the daughter of Walter and Viola (Westmark) Streif.  Millie was raised and educated in Manchester and was a graduate of Manchester High School.  She then attended the Paris Beauty School in Cedar Rapids. 

On March 25, 1952, Millie was united in marriage to John Willard Fuller at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Three children were born to this union.  The couple farmed together in the Ryan area and then moved to Ryan.  After a tornado destroyed much of the town of Ryan and their home in 1974, they moved to Marion in 1975.  Millie worked as a hairdresser and then as a department manager for the Von Maur Department Store in Cedar Rapids.

Millie was a longtime member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion. She enjoyed camping and fishing.  Millie loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Millie will be remembered with love by her three children, Deborah (Dave) Odell and Barbara (Steve) Schelich, all of Marion, and David (Betty) Fuller of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Dean (Flo) Streif of Cleves, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Gloria Streif of Banning, California.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Fuller in 2008; and her twin brother, Milton Streif in 2014.
