Robert Arthur Schwietert

Robert Arthur Schwietert, 67, of Manchester, Iowa, died on Monday, October 17, 2016, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester.  He was born on May 2, 1949, in Manchester, the son of  Warren and Mazie (Trottnow) Schwietert.  He was raised and educated in the Colesburg area, and was a 1967 Ed-Co High School graduate.  Bob attended Ellsworth Community College after high school.

Bob served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.  After returning from the service he resided in Manchester and worked various jobs until he was employed as a Rural Postal Carrier for the U.S. Post Office in Manchester. 

Bob enjoyed camping, wintering in Arizona, and NASCAR.

Survivors include one brother, Kenneth (Helen) Schwietert of Colesburg; brother-in-law, John Ross of Colesburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David Schwietert; and a sister, Debra Ross.
