Rose Ann (Hosch) Koopmann

Rose Ann Koopmann, 84, of Delhi, Iowa, passed away at home on Thursday, November 9, 2017. Visitation will be held at Saint John Catholic Church in Delhi on Sunday, November 12, 2017, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be on Monday, November 13, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint John Catholic Church.

Rose was born on January 30, 1933, the daughter of Peter and Katherine (Kurt) Hosch. She married John E. Koopman on June 18, 1953.

Rose was a loving mother of 11 children. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. Rose was an active member of St. John Catholic Church, the guild, and Delhi Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her children, Carol (Frank) O’Connell, Joseph Koopmann, Julie (Alan) Metternich, Susan (Steve) Nadermann, Marla (Jim) Finck, Joan (Gregg) Peters, John P. (LaRae) Koopmann, James (Sharon) Koopmann, Mary (David) LaMar, and Jeff Koopmann; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; a sister, Katherine Knipper; and sisters-in-law, Lois Hosch, Julie Hosch, Grace Droeszler, and Jean Oberfoell.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, John; a son, Peter; 2 grandchildren; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters.
