Albert C Fleming

Albert C. Fleming, 77, of Edgewood, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 29, 2019, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. He was born on April 27, 1942, in Central City, the son of Lester and LeIla (Taylor) Fleming. Albert was raised and educated in the Lamont area.

Albert was united in marriage to Brenda Hawker. Three children were born to this union. Later, three children were born to the union of Albert and Carol Beeh.

Albert farmed his entire life in northeast Iowa. He also worked for Keystone Real Estate. During the 1970’s, Albert owned and operated a construction business. He also spent 15 years building houses in Costa Rica. He also liked to rebuild cars and tractors and fixing anything that needed to be fixed.  

Survivors include his six children, Donald (Paula) Fleming of Independence, Collin Fleming of Santa Anna, California, Alan (Lucinda “Pip”) Fleming of Laguna Nigel, California, Tonya (Jared “Buck”) Jones of Edgewood, Travis (Kristy) Fleming of Dyersville, and Michael (Shelby) Fleming of Manchester; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Catherine (Harold) Starry of Strawberry Point, Susan (Jim) Lucas of Cedar Rapids, Doris (Howdy) House of Manchester, and Donna Smith of Anamosa; two brothers, Duane Fleming of Texas and Steve (Marsha) Fleming of Lamont; and many nieces and nephews.  

Albert was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lester “Joe” Fleming.
