David Leo White, 57, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at his residence. He was born on September 5, 1960, in Manchester, the son of Leo and Olive (Sabers) White. Dave was raised and educated in Earlville and attended the Maquoketa Valley Schools.
After school Dave moved to California for several years, before returning to Iowa where in 1991 he was married to Mary Pilgrim. Three children were born to this union. The couple later divorced. In 2011 Dave and Connie Schnieders were married and joined families.
Dave owned a carpet care business and worked at Exide for 26 years. He loved his Harley, traveling, and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Connie White of Manchester; his three children, Alex White of Ryan, Noah (friend Chanelle Helle) White of Iowa City, and Taylor White of Earlville; two step-children, Shelby (Brandon Fauser) Thompson of Cedar Rapids and Megan (Erik) Nelson of Bettendorf; two grandchildren, Marliss Nelson and Declan Fauser; six siblings, Joann Quinlan of Manchester, Dan (Kay) White of Worthington, Diane O’Brien of Bellevue, John (Ann Recker) White of Earlville, Marie (Rocky) Tibbott of Delaware, and Paul (Cathy) White of Earlville; parents-in-law, LeRoy and Valene Schnieders of Manchester; brothers-and sisters-in-law, Julie (Larry) Beaman of Delhi, Dan Schnieders of Manchester, Jean Smith of Dundee, Joellyn (Tony) Helmrich of Masonville, Lori (Tim Tacy) Snyder of Manchester, Carol (Troy) Collins of Wisconsin, and Michael (Sue) Schnieders of Dundee; and many nieces and nephews.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Allen and Clarence White; two brothers-in-law, Harry Quinlan and Neil O’Brien; a nephew, Chris Noel; and a niece, Becky Shepard.
