Ina Mae Davis, 84, of Guttenberg, Iowa, formerly of Manchester and Edgewood, died on Sunday, July 7, 2019, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa. She was born on May 12, 1935, in Volga, the daughter of Eben and Hattie (Jones) Phelps.
On June 2, 1955, Ina was united in marriage to Robert P. Davis at Hope Lutheran Church in Littleport. Seven children were born to this union. Together they farmed for 15 years.
Ina was employed at Ertl Company and as a cook in several restaurants over the years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her five children, LaVern Davis of Edgewood; Shirley (Jay) Skaar of Yellowstone Park, Wyoming; Rose (Andy) Ricchio of Cody, Wyoming; Wayne (Gabriele) Davis of Dundee; and Hazel Davis of Waterloo; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; two sisters, Linda Chambers of Delaware and Marieta (Myron) Smith of Monroe, Wisconsin; and two sisters-in-law, Georgia Phelps of Deputy, Indiana, and Lacina Phelps of Elkader.
Ina was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 2012; twin daughters, Marsha Lou and Marsha Lynn; her parents; her father- and mother-in-law, Robert C. and Letha Davis; two brothers, Vern and Wayne Phelps; and three sisters, Vivian Knospe, Margaret Crary, and Louise Lutz.
