Joy Ashbaugh

Joy Ashbaugh, 54, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at her home.  She was born on October 20, 1964, in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Philip Jr. and Betty (Harkness) Ashbaugh. Joy was raised and educated in Hollister, California, and graduated from San Benito High School in 1982.

Joy was united in marriage to Aaron Richard and two sons were born to this union. The family resided in the Quad Cities (Illinois).  Joy worked as a cook in several restaurants in the Quad Cities. The couple later divorced.  Joy has resided in Manchester for the past two years.  She enjoyed collecting Native American memorabilia.

Survivors include her two sons, Tory Richard of Dubuque and Kyle Richard of Manchester; her five siblings, Terry (Brenda) Ashbaugh of Pinehurst, North Carolina, Bruce (Chris) Ashbaugh of Newman, California, Debra (Rick) Scott of East Moline, Illinois, Philip (Jennifer) Ashbaugh III of Delhi, California, and Scott (Penny) Ashbaugh of Turlock, California; and many nieces and nephews.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents.
