Richard Arthur Fisher Sr.

Richard Arthur Fisher, Sr., 82, of Edgewood, Iowa, formerly of Manchester, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home in Edgewood. He was born on October 26, 1936, in Ely, the son of Clifford and Julia (Kennon) Fisher. He graduated from Coggon High School in 1954.

On August 29, 1964, Richard was united in marriage to Deloris Peyton in Preston, Minnesota. The couple raised five children. Richard farmed northwest of Ryan and drove truck for Moser Trucking.

Richard enjoyed doing word finds and playing Bingo, and he loved the outdoors. However, his family mattered most to him.

Survivors include three children, Donald Fisher and Richard (April) Fisher, Jr., all of Manchester, and Jessica Peyton of Masonville; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three siblings, Dale (Linda) Fisher of Anamosa, Daniel (Audrey) Fisher of Manchester, and Marjorie (Bill) Hall of Falls Church, Virginia; and a brother-in-law, Dan Cash of Veradale, Washington.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Deloris in 2012; two sons in 2017, Edward Fisher and William Fisher; and a sister, Grace Cash.
