Robin Ann Stone, 63, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. She was born on July 12, 1956, in Washington D.C., the daughter of Paul and Dorothy (Marshall) Stone. Robin graduated in 1974 from Broad Run High School in Ashburn, Virginia, and from Frederick Community College in Frederick, Maryland, with a paralegal degree.
In 1980, Robin was united in marriage to Charles Mitchell in Frederick, Maryland. Three children were born to this union. The couple divorced in 1998.
In 2006, Robin moved to Manchester. She married Mark Luensmann in 2007 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester.
Robin worked as a service manager at Unlimited Services in Dyersville. She was active over the years with the Delaware County Democrats, most recently serving as chairperson. She enjoyed photography and genealogy.
Robin is survived by her husband, Mark Luensmann of Manchester; three children, Matthew Mitchell of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Daniel (fiancée Luba Dukina) Mitchell of Cedar Rapids; and Kathryn Mitchell of Manchester; one granddaughter on the way; and siblings, Kimberly Kincaid of McConnellsville, Ohio, and Robert Matters of Maryland.
Robin was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lee Stone.
