Sharon Kay (Topping) DePauw, 68, of Merritt Island, Florida, formerly of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Manor Care in Dubuque. She was born on July 22, 1949, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of George and Delores (Scott) Liberman. Sharon was raised in the Manchester area and graduated from Manchester High School in 1968.
On January 25, 1969, Sharon was united in marriage to John Francis Topping. Two children, Kimberly and Shawn, were born to this union. John passed away in 1975. In 1988, Regina Topping was born to Sharon Topping and William Letts. Sharon worked at EIP in Earlville for 15 years. She then worked at the Cotton Gallery in Marion as an embroidery technician for eight years.
On May 9, 2014, Sharon was united in marriage to Bruce DePauw in Dubuque. They made their home in Merritt Island, Florida. Sharon enjoyed sewing and going to craft shows.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce DePauw of Merritt Island, Florida; her three children, Kimberly Topping of Omaha, Nebraska, Shawn Topping of Manchester, and Regina Topping of Elk Horn, Nebraska; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three step-children, Michael DePauw, Susan DePauw, and Anne DePauw all of Merritt Island, Florida; four step-grandchildren; her mother, Delores Liberman of Manchester; and her seven siblings, Georgia (L.D.) Henderson of Anamosa, Jackie (Salvador) Rodriguez of Manchester, Ronald (Lupe) Liberman of Manchester, Charlotte Kalish of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Charlene (Dale) Manson of Manchester, Peggy (Gene) Mozingo of Manchester, and Rodney (Michelle) Liberman of Cedar Rapids.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father, George Liberman; and John Topping.
Friends are invited to join the family for lunch at the Eagle’s Club, 110 North Franklin Street, Manchester, Iowa, immediately following the committal.
