Wayne "Red" LaVern Alderson

Wayne LaVern “Red” Alderson, 86, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at his home.

He was born on April 1, 1931, in Strawberry Point, the son of Wayne Alderson and Eva (Burgin) Opperman. 

Wayne is survived by his wife, Deborah Alderson of Strawberry Point; his beloved step-children, Tonya (Tim) Hertenstein of Arlington, Monte (Paula) Casper of Edgewood, Janell (Joe) Sumner of Grinnell, Kyle (Julie) Casper of Blair, Nebraska, and Kari (Jeff) Phillips of Manchester; and one son, David Alderson of Strawberry Point.  He is also survived by many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Michael Alderson.
