William "Willie" McDonald

William “Willie” McDonald, 65, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.  He was born on July 13, 1953, in Manchester, the son of Albert and Viola (Malone) McDonald.  Willie was a graduate of Maquoketa Valley High School.

Willie was married to Sandra Gile.  They adopted their only daughter, Abby. The couple later divorced.  Willie worked in sales at various businesses including National Farmers Organization, Midwest Seed Genetics, and Nu-Tech.  Willie’s favorite pastime was to watch western movies.

Survivors include his daughter, Abby McDonald of Woodbury, Minnesota; two brothers, Mike (Kim) McDonald of Delhi and Andy (Kathy) McDonald of Monticello; and several nieces and nephews.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters in infancy, Mary and Ann.
