Albert "Bert" Meister

Albert “Bert” Meister, 56, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at the Buchanan County Health Center in Independence. He was born on October 26, 1963, in Manchester, the son of Albert and Ruth Ann (Shepard) Meister.  Bert was raised in Manchester and was a 1983 graduate of West Delaware High School.

On February 12, 1999, Bert was united in marriage to Marsha (Shaffer) Henderson in Manchester.  The family resided in Manchester. Bert worked for Iowa Pipeline and then Hubbard Feeds in Dyersville. Recently he worked for Delhi Tree Service.  Bert loved spending time with his grandchildren and other family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha Meister of Manchester; his son, Matthew (Jill) Henderson of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Kahmeron and Kooper; his favorite niece, Jess (Tim) Casper of Dubuque; two great-nieces, Alexis and Sadie; one brother, Terry (Leasa) Meister of Manchester; and one sister, Maria Haight of Manchester.

Bert was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Melvin.
