Angela Jean (Tibbott) Kirby, 44, of Quasqueton, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Manchester, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on September 21, 1981, in Dubuque, the daughter of Dale and Penny (Bolsinger) Tibbott. She was raised in the Colesburg area and graduated from Ed-Co High School in 2000. Angela also attended Iowa State University in Ames.
Angie met Dustin Kirby in 2009, and on December 2, 2021, Angie was united in marriage to Dustin in Manchester. Together they raised her son, Quintin, and Dustin’s three children. Angie worked as a para at Maquoketa Valley School District in Delhi. She enjoyed music, dancing, dogs, and old cars. Angie most enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors of Angie include her husband of five years, Dustin Kirby of Quasqueton; her four children, Quintin Hess of Edgewood, Keetan, Kayden, and Klaire Kirby all of Quasqueton; her parents, Dale (Penny) Tibbott of Greeley, and parents-in-law, Dorance (Sandy) Kirby of Quasqueton. Angie is also survived by her siblings, Andrea (Jamie) Friedley of Strawberry Point and Andrew (Kalee) Tibbott of Edgewood; sisters-in-law, Casey Allen, Kelly Kirby and Shawna Kirby-Eckstein; and nieces and nephews, Millie, Dallas, Charlotte, and Amelia Friedley, and Tristan, Trinity, and Isaac Tibbott; “second mom”, Sally Bolsinger; Godparents, Joe Tibbott and Liz Dean; many aunts and uncles; her special friend, Elizabeth Mullen; and her dogs, Oliver, Finn and Daisy.
Angie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Merwin (Mary) Tibbott and maternal grandparents, Glen (Patricia) Bolsinger; aunts, Carol Henkels and Betty Ingles; and uncles, Bob Dean, Greg Heer, and Jerry Ingles; cousins, Jesse and Sara Ingles; and special friend, Jan Feldman.
She fought melanoma with courage until the end. Her story is a reminder to take skin health seriously and schedule regular checks.
