Angela Dawn Sear, 53, of Garber, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. She was born on August 29, 1965, in Manchester, the daughter of Harry and Janate (Wittenberg) Meinken.
Angela was raised and educated in Lamont and graduated from Starmont High School in 1983. Following graduation, she worked at the Highway Café and the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home, both in Strawberry Point.
On March 17, 1995, Angela was united in marriage to Warren Sear at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Two children were born to this union. Angela raised her family and worked at the family business in Elkport, Sears 66 Service. She enjoyed playing pool and cards. Angela especially loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Warren Sear of Garber; two children, Holly (Jessie) Carter of Edgewood and Kyle Sear of Garber; her mother-in-law, Carla Sear of Garber; one granddaughter, Trinity Carter; six siblings, Debra (Charles) Ramsey of Utica, Nebraska, Cathy (John) Hack of Ontario, Canada, Linda (Jeff) Hentges of Cedar Rapids, Diane (Bob) Maker of Strawberry Point, Patty Smith of Oelwein, and Harry Meinken, Jr. of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.
Angela was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law, Rodger Sear; and a sister-in-law, Sarah Sear.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
