Ardith Kathleen Harring, 70, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at her home. She was born on March 6, 1952, in Manchester, the daughter of Keith and Arlene (Mueller) Jones. Ardith was raised and educated in the Manchester area graduating from West Delaware in 1970. She then attended Iowa State University and received her degree in 1974.
On June 11, 1977, Ardith was united in marriage to Steve Harring at the United Methodist Church in Manchester. Two daughters were born to this union. After their marriage, the family lived in Jesup for eight and a half years. They then moved back to Manchester to make their home. Ardith worked in interior design from 1974 until 2018. She owned and operated “Roses in the Snow” from 1993 until retiring. Ardith enjoyed gardening, horses, cooking, and holding “Grandma Camp”. She was proud of being named the “People’s Choice” salsa winner at the Delaware County Fair. Ardith especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her two daughters, Jennifer (Mac) Hampson of Cocolalla, Idaho, and Megan (Ryan) Down of Johnston; five grandchildren, Adelynne and Adrianna Hampson, and Harris, Kinley, and Liam Down; her mother, Arlene Jones of Manchester; her siblings, Steve (Deniese) Jones of Manchester, Luann (Kirk) Conklin of Sagle, Idaho, and Sandy (Kevin) Glanz of Manchester; her sister-in-law, Jami (Joe) DesRosiers of Coventry, Rhode Island; special friend, Bruce Adair; and several nieces and nephews.
Ardith was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Harring in 2016; and her father, Keith Jones.
