Betty Mae Klima, 87, of Coggon, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at the Silver Oak Nursing Home in Marion, Iowa. She was born on November 12, 1933, in Lowden, Iowa, the daughter of Marvin and Lena (Vozenilek) Jeffery. Betty was raised in the Lowden area and was a graduate of Lowden High School. After graduation, Betty worked at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids.
In 1955, Betty was married to Dennis Pesek in Cedar Rapids. One son was born to this union. The couple later divorced. In 1974, Betty was united in marriage to William Klima in South Dakota. The family farmed together near Coggon. William passed away in 1997.
Betty enjoyed selling Avon and was a stay-at-home mom. She liked to cook and work in her garden. Betty enjoyed doing various crafts, working puzzles, and playing with her many cats. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Survivors include her son, Craig (Denise) Pesek of Coggon; three grandchildren, Dennis, Shamane, and Andrew; and two sisters, Jean King of Wilton and Mary (Robert) Frey of Durant.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, William.
