Bruce Harold Moorman, 69, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021, at Marietta’s Place in Manchester. He was born on January 23, 1952, in Manchester, the son of Harold and Velva (Pohlman) Moorman. Bruce was raised in the Manchester area and graduated from Manchester High School in 1970.
On January 8, 1972, Bruce was united in marriage to Debra Andrews in Manchester. Two sons were born to this union. They were later divorced. After graduation Bruce worked for Lefebure Company for twenty years. Bruce then operated the American Family Insurance in Manchester until 2014, when he retired. Bruce was a member of the Knights of Pythias.
Bruce enjoyed playing cards, socializing with others, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his two sons, Tadd (Jacquelyn) Moorman of Manchester and Chris (Iolanda) Moorman of Thornton, Colorado; his two grandsons, Benjamin and Alexander Moorman of Thornton; his sister, Georgia Jones of Strawberry Point; his brother Daryl (Sandra) Moorman of Opelika, Alabama; his sister-in-law, Sandra Moorman of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Roger Moorman; his sister, Janice Irons; and brothers-in-law, Charles Irons and Robin Jones.
Because of COVID-19, masks are strongly recommended at the funeral home.
