Carol Anne (Willett) Starr

Carol Anne Starr, 76, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Regional Medical Center in Manchester, Iowa.  She was born on September 10, 1946, in Greenville, Tennessee, the daughter of James and Helen (Fortner) Willett. Carol graduated from Lisbon High School.

Carol was united in marriage to Francis “Frank” Starr in Aledo, Illinois. Two children were born to this union. Carol and Frank moved to Manchester in 1987 where she was a homemaker. The couple was later divorced.

She enjoyed Bingo, Blue Grass music and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her two children, James (Tracy) Starr of Monticello and Lori (Jeff) Nash of Matherville, Illinois; her stepson, Bart Starr of Manchester; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda (Doug) Berry of Cedar Rapids and Sherry (Doug) Shepard of Cedar Rapids; and one sister-in-law, Janet Willett of Marion.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, James P. Willett, Joyce (Darrel) Jellison and Jack Willett; and special cousins, Lola Fortner and Mary Smith.
