Charles Rae “Chuck” Fensterman, 76, of Colesburg, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at his home. He was born on August 23, 1949, in Edgewood, the son of Orval and Dorothy (Blaker) Fensterman. Chuck was raised in the Colesburg area and was a 1967 graduate of Edgewood-Colesburg High School. He then served honorably in the United States Air Force.
In 1982, Chuck met the love of his life, Margie Pearson-Berg, and they have been together ever since. On May 16, 1999, Chuck was united in marriage to Margie in Anamosa. Chuck farmed and then worked as a mail carrier since 1999. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. For the past ten years, he and Margie enjoyed wintering in Texas.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Margie Fensterman of Colesburg; three stepchildren, Jenny Berg of Guttenberg, Joseph (Tara) Berg of Anamosa, and James (Renee) Berg of Dyersville; nine grandchildren, Kasindra (Dion Mellody) Berg, Sierra (Spencer) Koelker, Christian Stumpf, Ethan Stumpf, Aizik Stumpf, Samantha Berg, Brooklynn Burroughs, Levi Berg, and Lydia Berg; three great-grandchildren, Hudson, Huntley, and Seraphina; four siblings, Darla (Alan) Kickbush, Marsha Fensterman, John (Kathy) Fensterman, and Diane (Bill) Stain; and many nieces and nephews.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, David (Karyl) Fensterman and Norman (Carol) Fensterman; and his stepson, Jeremy Berg.
