Cheryle LaRhae Meader

Cheryle LaRhae Meader, 74, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.  Cheryle was born on February 24, 1948, the daughter of Edwin and Ila Mae (Meyer) Meader in Rapid City, South Dakota. She was raised and educated in the Manchester and Central City area, graduating from Central City High School.  Cheryle came to know the Lord Jesus, as her own personal Savior at an early age and knowing Him was the foundation of her life. After high school Cheryle worked as a nurse’s aide at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester for many years until she retired because of health issues.

Cheryle enjoyed reading and playing games on her tablet. She loved spending time with her dog, Gracie.  Cheryle enjoyed crocheting and crocheted many afghans for her family over the years. She enjoyed her daily phone calls with her sisters, playing games, cooking and baking for her family.  Holidays with family were especially important to her. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her five siblings, James (Luba) Meader of Cedar Rapids, Vincent Meader of Springville, Lee (Luanne) Meader of Marion, Sandy (Mike) Bruce of Rapid City, South Dakota, Jeannie Blettner of Marshall, Wisconsin; many nieces and nephews, who were very dear to her; and her best friend, Sherry Davis of Manchester.

Cheryle was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Stuart Meader.
