Christine "Christy" Elizabeth (Cannon) Jacobson

Christine Elizabeth “Christy” Jacobson, 66, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born on March 6, 1957, in Manchester, the daughter of Lyle and Marjorie (Zoesch) Cannon. Christy was raised and educated in Manchester and was a 1975 graduate of West Delaware High School. She then attended Northeast Iowa Community College in Calmar.

On December 5, 1981, Christy was united in marriage to Jeff Jacobson. Two daughters were born to this union. Christy worked at Tri-State Engineering for several years. She then worked at Harper Insurance for over 37 years. Christy was an avid Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan.  Above all else, Christy loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Jeff Jacobson of Manchester; two daughters, Brittany (Chris) Nelson of Cedar Rapids and Bryanne (Kyle) Golden of Marion; four grandchildren, Nora and Ava Nelson, and Fynn and Leo Golden; brother, Tim Cannon of Osceola; sister, Teri (Kevin) Winsor of Vinton; and several nieces and nephews.

Christy was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Emmy Jo Besler.
