Constance “Connie” Ann O’Brien, 84, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, at her home. She was born July 25, 1940, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Edward W. and Anna Marie (Rea) Ossenkop. Connie attended and graduated high school in Estherville, Iowa. She received a bachelor’s degree, graduating from Coe, Kirkwood, and the University of Iowa.
Connie was united in marriage to Charles Hauser. Three children were born to this union. They later divorced. Connie worked as a medical technician in the area. She enjoyed traveling and being an Iowa Hawkeye fan. Connie loved playing Bridge, gardening and cooking, and most of all spending time with her family.
Survivors include her four children, Sean (Debra) Hauser of Manchester, Chad (Mindy) Hauser of Manchester, Sara (John) Giguere of New Braunfels, Texas, and Mark (Linda) Keane of Florida; five grandchildren, Kara (Ben) Ogden, Ryan (Ellen) Hauser, Gabby (Zachary) Ashcroft, Ava Hauser, Cash Hauser; four great-grandchildren, Oliver, Haddie Mae, Jace, and Lane; two sisters, Sheila Barrett and Margaret (Mike) Kemp; one brother, Tom (Diane) Ossenkop; and several nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, James Ossenkop; two nephews Patrick Ossenkop and Chris Manders; and a niece, Lauren Ossenkop.
