Constance Rae “Connie” Russell, 73, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. She was born on August 14, 1948, in the state of Washington, the daughter of Robert and Nevadee (Penn) Russell. In 1957 the family moved to Iowa and she was raised and educated in the Manchester area.
In 1965, Connie was united in marriage to Tom McGraw. Three children were born to this union. The couple later divorced. Connie worked as a CNA at the Good Neighbor Home and also as a traveling nurse. She enjoyed flowers and working in her garden. Connie also liked to refurbish furniture with Loren Salow. Spending time with family was important to her.
Survivors include her three children, Mike McGraw of Ryan, Shelly McGraw of Manchester, and Dana Weber of Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren, Ashley McGraw, T.J. Weber, Adreana (Lucas) Blair, Mahailey Weber, Taylor Brockmeyer, Scott McGraw, Emily McGraw, and Joey Weber; two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Tegan; three siblings, Richard “Dick” (Bev) Russell of Ephrata, Washington, Charlene Weatherwax of Delhi, and Karen (Craig “Buzz”) McCoy of Crawfordsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Joshua Weber; and special friend, Loren Salow.
