Cynthia Elizabeth (Markette) Lahue

Cynthia Elizabeth “Cindy” Lahue, 66, of Colesburg, Iowa, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester. She was born on January 21, 1959, in Brookhaven, Mississippi, the daughter of John and Dollie (Swalm) Markette. Cindy was a graduate of Brookhaven Academy.

On June 26, 1991, Cindy was united in marriage to Bruce Lahue in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Cindy and Bruce enjoyed their years living together on Lake Delhi. She liked stuffed animals, cats, and watching her tv shows. Cindy loved lilacs.

Survivors include her husband, Bruce Lahue of Colesburg; cousin, Ernie Clark of Kentucky; and many friends.

Her family requests that memorials be made to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital in Iowa City.
