Cynthia “Cindy” Lou Orr, 70, of Coggon, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 9, 1955 in Manchester, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary Lou (Connolly) Kaiser. Cindy graduated from Maquoketa Valley High School in 1974.
On August 22, 1975, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Dennis Orr. Three children were born to this union. Cindy worked as a loan officer at Heritage Bank in Delhi for 47 years. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Delhi where she volunteered her time playing the piano. Cindy enjoyed going for walks, music, spending time in her yard, reading, and baking. She looked forward to time spent with her sisters and being a Grandma was one of the greatest joys in her life. She cherished each grandchild with unwavering love, and devoted her time to making memories together. She loved the simple things in life and making those who she loved feel special. Cindy radiated love and kindness to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dennis Orr; her three children Erika (Josh) Vanderloop of Delhi, Rachel (Chad) Bonert of Hopkinton, and Jonathan (Randene) Orr of Hopkinton, and; ten grandchildren Madison Imler, Ella Imler, Isabel Imler, Breckin Vanderloop, Addison Bonert, Aubrey Bonert, Ava Bonert, Brody Orr, Sophie Orr, and Granger Orr; and sisters Sandy (Dave) Knaeble of East Dubuque, Illinois, Becky (Chuck) Melchert of Hopkinton, Linda (Chris) Jay of Delhi, and Penny (Ron) Swartz of Indianola; and many nieces and nephews.
