David Brian Estes

 David Brian Estes, 70, of Waukon, Iowa, formerly of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at his daughter’s home in Manchester. He was born on November 19, 1953, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of Wiley H. and Margaret (Swinton) Estes. David graduated from Port Hueneme High School, Trenton Junior College, and Missouri Western State University. David then served honorably in the United States Air Force, earning the rank of sergeant.

After his military service, David worked in management for several businesses. He also worked as an insurance agent for the Farm Bureau and was the store manager for Pamida in Cresco.

Survivors include his three daughters, Tami (Jeff) Corbin of Missouri, Mindy (J.J.) Davis of Manchester, and Melissa Estes of Marion; five grandchildren, Brittany, Chad, Mercedes, Courtney, and Kennedy; one great-granddaughter, Ensley Rae; two sisters, Margaret “Peggie” Estes-Sylvestor of Davenport, and Mindy (Murray) Estes-Walker of Blue Springs, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Wiley H. Estes; and two siblings, Donnie Estes and Merrie Beth Estes-Stotts.
