Dawn Marie (Lau) Coyle

Dawn Marie Coyle, 67, of Delhi, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.  She was born on May 28, 1958, in Guttenberg, the daughter of Merrill and Adele (Radamacker) Lau. Dawn was raised and educated in Guttenberg.

On October 14, 1978, Dawn was united in marriage to Dan Coyle in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Guttenberg. Together they shared nearly 47 years of marriage and were blessed with three children. Dawn and Dan lived in Guttenberg for several years before making their home in Delhi. She worked at the Manchester Wal-Mart for thirty years before retiring in 2023.

Dawn enjoyed gardening, playing cards, Yahtzee, and loved her pets. She was an excellent cook and loved listening to music, especially at concerts. Above all, she enjoyed her time spent with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Dan Coyle of Delhi; her three children, Benjamin (Angie) Coyle of Anamosa, Melissa (Steve) Higgins of Waterloo, and Kate Coyle of Delhi; four grandchildren, Olivia, Brennan, Ella and Cora; her parents-in-law, Joe (Marie) Coyle of Hopkinton; sister, Sandie (Lonnie) Beisker of Guttenberg; brother, Jeff (Jean) Lau of Guttenberg; sister-in-law, Carol Lau of Guttenberg; and her many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Dawn was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Wayne and Steve Lau.
