Dellene Imogene (Eidahl) Stubenrauch

Dellene Imogene Stubenrauch, 103, formerly of Strawberry Point, passed away on June 7, 2020. 

Dellene was born in Newburg Township, Iowa, on July 11, 1916, to Albert and Phyllis Eidahl.  She graduated from Carpenter High School in 1934.

Dellene married Richard Stubenrauch on January 2nd, 1943.  The couple lived in Wisconsin, Louisiana and Oregon, until moving back to Iowa and farming near Sumner for 30 years, retiring in 1988. They were married for 69 years, until Richard’s death in 2012.  

Dellene enjoyed spending time with family and friends, square dancing, gardening, and reading.  She loved animals, particularly her cats.

Dellene is survived by her daughter, Terry (Leon) Borcherding; granddaughter, Kimberly Borcherding; two other granddaughters; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; son, Richard Paul; two brothers, Duane and Melbourne; and her sister, Madeleine.

She was interned at Cass Township Cemetery in Strawberry Point following a private family service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dellene’s name to the Ardmore Animal Shelter, Ardmore, Oklahoma, or Halo Hospice, Ada, Oklahoma.
