Dorothy Juanita Ling Ingles

Dorothy Juanita Ling Ingles, 85, of Oneida, Iowa, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester.  She was born on October 28, 1935, in Independence, the daughter of Leo and Anna (Holtz) Mills. Dorothy was raised and educated in the Independence area, graduating from Independence High School in 1953.  Dorothy was a CNA at the Good Neighbor Home for 18 years.

On December 20, 2013, Dorothy was united in marriage to Richard Ingles. Dorothy and Richard spent 50 years together. They raised their six children together, Paul, Bruce, Melanie, Mike, Pam, and Galenn “Fred” in the Oneida area.

Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, baking cookies and giving her creations either as donations or gifts. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her five children, Paul (Cindy) Ling, of Manchester, Bruce (Danielle) Ling of Dyersville, Melanie (Tom) Jones of Quasqueton, Pam (Gary) McDowell of Rowley, and Galenn “Fred” (Brenda) Ingles of Dyersville; one daughter-in-law, Ann Ling of Lincoln, Nebraska; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Delbert Mills of Elkader, Glen (Carol) Mills of Independence, and
Everett (Joan) Mills of Independence; one sister, Linda (Joe) Lusk of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters-in-law, LaRayne Mills of Maynard, and Katherine Sickles of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Ingles; her son, Mike Ling; and her brother, Raymond Mills.
