Elizabeth "Betty" Arlene Dolan

Elizabeth “Betty” Arlene Dolan, 97, of Guttenberg, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at the Elkader Care Center in Elkader. She was born on January 6, 1925, in Monticello, the daughter of Roy and Goldie (Willmott) Wolmutt.  Betty was raised in the Prairieburg and Coggon area graduating from Coggon High School.  She then attended University of Northern Iowa Teacher’s College.

In 1946, Betty was united with Henry Dolan. Four children were born to this union.  Betty was a teacher and homemaker. She enjoyed weekends at the farm, gardening and mushroom hunting. Betty most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her four children, Robert “Bob” Dolan of Strawberry Point, Marcia Mozingo of Strawberry Point, Jeff (Lori) Dolan of Guttenberg, and Michael Dolan of Guttenberg; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Shirley and Donna Wolmutt.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry; a son-in-law, Jerry Mozingo; and two brothers, Don and Jim Wolmutt.
