Gerald "Jerry" LeRoy Lincoln

Gerald LeRoy “Jerry” Lincoln, 87, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was born on June 1, 1934, in rural Strawberry Point, the son of Charles and Irene (Fry) Lincoln. Jerry was a 1952 graduate of Dundee High School.

On April 27, 1957, Jerry was united in marriage to Maxine Wilson at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Ten children were born to this union. The couple farmed their entire married life south of Strawberry Point.

Jerry enjoyed coon hunting, bowling, and playing and umpiring softball. He also enjoyed raising and racing Quarter Horses. Jerry loved his family and spending time with them.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Maxine Lincoln of Strawberry Point; nine children, Lorna Lincoln of Cedar Rapids, Richard Lincoln of Lamont, David (Margaret) Lincoln of Dundee, Betty (George) Enriquez of Madison, Wisconsin, Joseph Lincoln of Lamont, Christopher Lincoln of Dundee, Daniel (Kristi) Lincoln of Strawberry Point, Paul (Annika Winters) Lincoln of Strawberry Point, and Todd (Julie) Lincoln of Independence; a son-in-law, Robert Meyer of Strawberry Point;18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and his ten siblings, Larry (Audrey) Lincoln of Strawberry Point, John Lincoln of Strawberry Point, Marvin Lincoln of Independence, Marlene Fritz of Marion, Sandra Forney of Waterloo, Linda (Arnie) Kula of Prairieburg, Ronnie (Josie) Lincoln of Las Vegas, Nevada, Wendy (Al) Cole of Strawberry Point, Vicky (Rusty) Gibbs of Lamont, and Dean Lincoln of Strawberry Point.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Brenda Meyer; a grandson, Nicholas Meyer; and two daughters-in-law, Deb Lincoln and Marla Lincoln.
