Gordon Anderegg, 81, of Edgewood, Iowa, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020, at his residence. He was born on June 17, 1939, in Edgewood, the son of Urey Stanley and Dorothy (Bond) Anderegg. Gordon was raised in the Edgewood area and was a graduate of Edgewood High School.
After his graduation, Gordon worked on the family farm until the age of 23. He then joined the Peace Corps and served for four years in Brazil. During this time, he met Regina Alves. On January 30, 1965, Gordon and Regina were married in Brazil. After their marriage, the couple moved back to Iowa and began farming in Eastern Iowa and eventually settled near Edgewood. In 1976, the family moved to Brazil. Gordon returned to Iowa in 1984 and has remained here since then. He was able to get back into farming, but also worked as a security guard for Rockwell for ten years. Gordon enjoyed traveling, but what he loved the most was farming.
