Harland Freddie (Jr.) Allison

Harland Freddie Allison, Jr., 68, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his three children. He was born on June 19, 1956, in Manchester, the son of Harland and Wanda (Hines) Allison, Sr. Harland was raised in Manchester and was a 1975 graduate of West Delaware High School.

On February 15, 1975, Harland was united in marriage to Debra Haas in Manchester. One son, Jarvis, was born to this union. The couple later divorced. He later was married to Teresa Heyer. Two children, Nathan and Ashlee, were born to this union. They later divorced. Harland was a semi-truck driver for 47 years driving from coast to coast and could get anywhere in the United States without a map. He retired in 2021.

Harland enjoyed fishing and playing cards. He loved root beer floats and cherished spending time with his family, especially his adult children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his three children, Jarvis Allison of Hiawatha, Nathan (Kristi) Allison of Waterloo, and Ashlee (Colby) Edel of Indianola; nine grandchildren, Clayton, Anna, Katherine, Noah, Mary, Luke, Isabelle, Emrie, and Amilia; three sisters, Sandy, Linda, and Barb; one brother, Jerry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harland was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Juanita.
