Idel Faye (Sullivan) Wright

Idel Faye Wright, 98, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. She was born on January 31, 1922, in Manchester, the daughter of Nelson and Vida (Davis) Sullivan. Faye was raised in Manchester and was a graduate of Manchester High School.

On November 17, 1941, Faye was united in marriage to Charles Wright.  Two children were born to this union. Faye worked for five years in the Manchester High School cafeteria. She then worked as a receptionist for Dr. Schmidtz for many years.

Faye was a longtime member of the Manchester United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, quilting, and volunteering. 

Survivors include her daughter, Carol (Loren) Morehouse of Warrensburg, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jeanine (Barb Barlow) Morehouse of Columbia, Missouri, Jim (Trudy) Morehouse of Grain Valley, Missouri, Richard Wright of Cedar Rapids, and Sheri Popham of Manchester; six great-grandchildren, McKenna Morehouse, Tiffany Ilgen, Jeffrey Ilgen, Brianna Wright, Brody Wright and Casey Popham; one great-great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Wefel; and a nephew, Larry (Lois) Sullivan of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Wright; her son, Robert (Ruth) Wright; and two brothers, Robert and Merle Sullivan.
