James "Jimmy" McIntyre Murphy

James E. “Jimmy” McIntyre Murphy, 45, of Edgewood, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at his home. He was born on May 16, 1981, in Waterloo, the son of Raymond and Candice (Niedert) Murphy. Jimmy was a 2000 graduate of Vinton-Shellsburg High School.

Jimmy loved cars. He enjoyed listening to the rapper Tupac Shakur’s music. He loved his two dogs.

Survivors include his mother, Candice Heuchelin of Strawberry Point; stepfather, Marc Heuchelin; brother, Raymond Murphy; and sister, Rose Heuchelin.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Murphy, Sr.; and two brothers, William Murphy and Jay McIntyre.
