Janet Mary (Luensmann) Boots

Janet Mary Boots, 75, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was born on May 13, 1950, in Dubuque, the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Dingbaum) Luensmann. Janet was raised and educated in Manchester, a 1968 graduate of West Delaware.

On May 6, 1972, Janet was united in marriage to Robert Boots. They lived together in Cedar Rapids where she worked as a sales person at Sears. In her free time, Janet enjoyed crocheting, trying her luck at the casino, and exploring new restaurants. 

Survivors include her siblings, Marge (Bernard) Pasker of Manchester, Charles (Trish) Luensmann of Waterloo, Diane (Michael) Pasker of Manchester, Mark Luensmann of Cedar Rapids, Roger (Marsha) Luensmann of Manchester, Donald (Laurie) Luensmann of Aspinwall, Iowa, Peter (Micki) Luensmann of St. Louis, Missouri, Lisa (Steve) Romesburg of Council Bluffs, Duane (Rina) Luensmann of Dyersville, and Gary (Amanda) Luensmann of Longview, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Boots; brother, Joseph Luensmann; and sister-in-law Robyn Luensmann.
