Due to possible severe weather predicted for Friday, April 17th, the family has added an additional visitation on Saturday, April 18th from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church.
Jason Michael Neverman, 35, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, at his home in Manchester. He was born on December 20, 1990, in Manchester, the son of Michael “Mick” and Janella (Ries) Neverman. Jason was raised and educated in the area and was a 2009 graduate of West Delaware High School. He then attended Hawkeye Community College.
Jason worked at the Good Neighbor Home in the environmental services department and at Hardee’s. He loved his jobs and connecting with the people there. Jason liked playing board, video, and card games. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed sharing entertaining stories and jokes with others. Jason also appreciated a good debate. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Jason was a proud uncle and loved animals. He was very loyal and dedicated in all that he did.
Survivors include his father, Mick (Marian) Neverman; two sisters, Lisa (Royce) Woodroffe and Nicole (Kale) Bongers all of Iowa City; nieces and nephews, James, Julia, Everett, Graham, Ada, Edith, Ella; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Janella Neverman in 2022; his maternal grandparents, Matt and Julia Ries; and paternal grandparents, Claire and LouDene Neverman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the Good Neighbor Society.
