John "Bill" William Thibadeau, Jr.

John William “Bill” Thibadeau, Jr., 72, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at his home. He was born on March 23, 1950, in Waterloo, the son of John and Phyllis (Herman) Thibadeau.  Bill was raised and educated in Manchester and was a 1968 graduate of Manchester High School.

Bill was married to Melanie Hook. Two children were blessed to this union. The couple later divorced. On November 16, 1985, Bill was united in marriage to Teresa Sullivan in Independence. Two children were blessed to this union. The family resided in the Manchester area. Bill worked construction for Ron Schram over the years. Later during his retirement, Bill worked construction for Jon Petersen.

Bill enjoyed working on older cars and on his acreage. He also liked watching his squirrels and birds. Bill traveled on the road for his job, but enjoyed being home with family. He loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Teresa Thibadeau of Manchester; his four children, Travis (Kendra) Thibadeau of Independence, Brian (Joy) Thibadeau of Palmyra, Illinois, Baillie Thibadeau and Wyatt Thibadeau both of Manchester; eight grandchildren, Dana, Dalton, Daxton, Samantha and Gus Thibadeau, Josh and Brooklynn Thibadeau, and Jacob Mullis; several sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Vaughn and Jean Sullivan; his brother, Jim Thibadeau; a sister in infancy; and several brothers-in-law.
