Joyce Joan Hansel

Joyce Joan Hansel, 81, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Edgewood Convalescent Home in Edgewood. She was born on December 20, 1940, in Manchester, the daughter of Francis and Jeanette (Hill) Hansel. Joyce was raised and educated in Manchester and graduated from Manchester High School.  She furthered her education by attending four years of college in California.

Joyce worked at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids for many years. She enjoyed woodworking, cats, trips with her sister, camping, genealogy and painting.  Joyce also enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her two sisters-in-law, Mary Hansel of Manchester and Wanda Hansel of Cedar Rapids; her nieces and nephews, Debra (Ed) Simons, Bill (Chanda) Hahesy, Barbara Aulwes, Rick (Jenny) Hahesy, Danny “Boone” (Amy) Hahesy, Michele Kelly, Chris (Tiffany) Hansel, Rachel (Adam) Lewin, and T. J.  (Megan) Hansel.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Jean Hahesy; her two brothers, Jim and Larry Hansel; and her two nephews, Dennis Hahesy and Jake Hahesy.
