Kevin John Miles

Kevin John Miles, 60, of Hopkinton, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at his residence. He was born on June 27, 1963, in Hopkinton, the son of LeRoy and Marilyn (Grimm) Miles. Kevin was raised and educated in Hopkinton and was a 1981 graduate of Maquoketa Valley High School.

On November 5, 1988, Kevin was united in marriage to Peg Hosch at St. Mary Catholic Church in Cascade. Two children were born to this union. Kevin worked for many years at Orbis in Monticello. During the past ten years, he worked for Yeoman and Company in Monticello.

Kevin loved raising collie puppies. He enjoyed tinkering with tractors, especially John Deere models. Kevin loved his 60’s and 70’s music. He enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Vikings. Above all else, Kevin loved his family and spending time with them.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Peg Miles of Hopkinton; two children, Jacob Miles of Hopkinton, and Jayne (Justin Gutknecht) Miles of Monona; five siblings, Janet (Steve) Herington of Hopkinton, Denise (Rick Kramer) Niles of Hopkinton, Deanna (Clarence) Hurmence of Hopkinton, Lori (Kent) Grode of Pierre, South Dakota, and Herb (Lois) Miles of Manchester; and many nieces and nephews.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Jayne Miles.
