Kim L. Melsha, 70, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at her home in Manchester. She was born on October 1, 1955, the daughter of Laurence and Jean (Hobson) Kephart. After graduating from West Delaware High School, she moved to California and worked for Rockwell for six years. Kim then returned to Iowa and worked several jobs during her career as an administrative assistant.
She married Dennis Cahoon and two children were born to this union. The couple later divorced. She then married Kenneth Melsha, Jr. In her free time, Kim enjoyed making jewelry and other crafts.
Her survivors include her two children, Jaime (Joshua) Keller of Marion and Brian (Tanya) Cahoon of Arizona; four grandchildren, Devin Keller, Megan Keller, Riley Keller, and Makenna Fitzgerald; two great-grandchildren, Navy and Knox; and a brother, Larry (Judy) Kephart.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Jean Kephart; her husband, Kenneth Melsha, Jr.; and her sister, Nancy Kephart.
