Lillian Mae Falck

Lillian Mae Falck, 98, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home in Edgewood, Iowa.  She was born on December 19, 1922, in Oelwein, the daughter of Fred and Alice (Weig) Birrer.  Lillian was raised in the Strawberry Point area. She was educated in the Strawberry Point rural schools and graduated from Strawberry Point High School in 1940. After graduation Lillian was a telephone operator until her marriage to Allan.

On January 23, 1945, Lillian was united in marriage to Allan Falck. Two sons were born to this union. Together, Lillian and Allan farmed near Strawberry Point.

Lillian enjoyed gardening, raising her chickens, and painting Allan’s woodworking projects. Crocheting beautiful projects was her passion. Lillian also enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her son, Larry (Jenette) Falck of Strawberry Point; a daughter-in-law, Sue Falck of Strawberry Point; four grandchildren, Tammy (Kevin) Schnieders, Tom (Krista) Falck, Deana (Tom) Herzmann, and Craig (Shanan) Falck; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and four step great-grandchildren.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allan in 2016; and her son, Kent in 2019.

Because of COVID-19 concerns, masks are required at the church.
