Lowell Edward Rodas

Lowell Edward Rodas, 89, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home, Edgewood, Iowa. He was born on March 14, 1932, in Edgewood, the son of Charles and Fannie (Ross) Rodas.  Lowell was an Edgewood High School graduate.

Later in life Lowell married Maureen (Seedorff) Schuchmann.  Lowell started K & R DX with Dean Knight from 1958 until 1965. He then started Rodas Chevrolet in 1965 and continued working there until his death.

Survivors include his wife, Maureen; his two sons, Chuck (Brenda) Rodas and Chad (friend, Jennifer) Rodas, both of Strawberry Point; four step-children; four grandchildren, Kristin (Jonathan) Ballard, Melissa (David) Recker, Brittany (Nathan) Meyers, and Megan (Nick) Hansel; nine great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Charlene Rodas of Strawberry Point; and many nieces and nephews.

Lowell was preceded in death by his parents; his three sisters, Phyllis Jean O’Rourke, Elaine Roth, and Betty DeRuiter; and his brother, Donald “Bud” Rodas.
