Lynn Frances Miranda, 71, of Edgewood, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at her home in Edgewood. She was born October 23, 1948, the daughter of Donald and Esther (Steffen) Ries. Lynn was a graduate of Maquoketa Valley in Delhi. She was employed at Wilson Packing Plant, Walmart, Tegeler’s Dairy, Good Neighbor Home and also was in farm partnership with her brother Clyde.
Lynn was united in marriage to Ray Miranda. One son, Wayne, was born to this union. Lynn was a member of St. Mark Catholic Daughters, Basilica Choir and loved to bake and embroidery and do gardening, especially her flowers and most of all watching the grandchildren! Her lifetime experience was going to Fatima, Portugal. Lynn loved spending time with her son and his family and her many extended family and friends.
Survivors include her son, Wayne (Niki) Miranda; her former husband, Ray Miranda; her four grandchildren, Gabriel, Roslyn, Dominic and Adrienne; her three brothers Steve (Deb) Ries of Earlville, Clyde (Barb) Ries of Delaware, and Mark (Laura) Ries of Toddville; and one sister, Rose Hanson of Greeley.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents; and her niece and goddaughter, Emily Kerper.
Because of COVID-19, masks are recommended at the funeral home and required at the church
